*We interrupt your scrolling to bring you some high quality content* Stuck for ideas on how to make your personal Instagram stand out from the crowd? We’ve got you covered. 303 has put together a checklist of some the most important things to think about when creating your own content.High Quality = High ImpactInstagram is a platform designed for sharing photography and viewing images. To stop the scroll and grab your follower's attention, you want your images to be clean, clear, and of high quality. Does this mean you have to hire a professional photographer for every photo you want to post, including your morning breakfast? No. But photos that perform best on instagram tend to be bright rather than dark, clear rather than blurred, and thoughtfully taken in terms of composition. So invest some time into your image editing before posting and watch the likes flow in. Keep to a ThemeWhen someone goes onto your page, can they get an immediate sense of who you are? Do all of your posts have something in common? Creating your own theme can be tricky if you don’t know where to start, but once you’ve established yourself and the kind of content you create, your followers will start to buy into you and your brand, taking more notice of what you have to say in each new post. Natural LightingIn a world of filters, fancy effects, and coloured lighting, nothing beats keeping it natural. People tend to respond well to organic, brightly lit imagery on their feeds as it stands out from the rest. Tip: make sure your subject (that might be you!) is the brightest part of your image. Don’t be afraid to stand out! Show Your FaceThat leads us nicely to our next point: People. Love. Faces. It’s a proven fact that social media users respond best to posts containing human faces, so if you want to stop the scroll, include some quality face-content: smiling, sticking your tongue out, the world is your oyster.Be AuthenticThis is obviously a given, but always try to be yourself. The more original you can be, the better. Be brave and post about your love of 80s heavy metal (idk it’s niche right?) Yes you can gain followers by keeping up with the trends but the goal is ultimately to have a follower base who love you for you. So many people are posting the same things these days, so if you want to cut through the noise and stand out from the crowd, be different and post about what you really love so your viewers can get to know what you are truly about. Who knows, you may just start the next trend...
